Questions we get asked

If yours is not here, email us at golfwith@3fore5.com or put it in the notes on the quote form, and we will answer it directly.

Space and setup

How much room do you need?

Roughly sixteen by sixteen feet of level ground, plus about twelve feet of ceiling measured to the lowest thing hanging down. Beams, ceiling fans, sprinkler heads, and light fixtures all count. People measure to the ceiling and forget the fan.

If you are outdoors, ceiling height stops mattering and we only need the floor space.

Can you set up indoors?

Yes, as long as the ceiling clears and we can get the gear through the door. Ballrooms, warehouses, showrooms, and large garages all work. Low-ceilinged function rooms are the usual problem, and it is the one measurement worth taking before you book anything.

Does it work outdoors?

Most of our events are outdoors. We need reasonably level, dry ground. Grass, turf, pavement, and covered patios all work. We bring a canopy, so light shade or drizzle is not a problem.

What power do you need?

One standard household outlet within reach of the setup spot. We bring our own extension runs, so it does not need to be close. If there is no power at all, say a park or an empty lot, tell us and we will price a generator into the quote.

How long does setup take?

About ninety minutes to build and calibrate, and under an hour to break down. We arrive early enough that everything is running before your first guest shows up. Tell us your venue's access window and we will work inside it.

What if the setup spot is hard to get to?

Usually fine, but we need to know in advance. Stairs, long carries from the parking area, service elevators, and gated access all change how much time we need on site. There is a load-in question on the quote form. Answer it honestly and there are no surprises on the day.

On the day

What launch monitor do you use?

A Garmin Approach R50. It reads ball speed, launch angle, spin, and club path on every shot and puts the numbers and the ball flight straight on the screen. It also captures a high-speed replay of impact, so you can watch the strike back frame by frame.

The game itself runs on GSPro, the ball-tracking software that renders the course and keeps score.

Is someone there to run it?

Always. A team member stays for the whole event to run the software, switch courses, reset contests, and help guests who have never held a club. You are not left with a laptop and a manual.

How many people can play?

There is no cap on how many guests you can have. One person swings at a time, so it is a question of hours rather than headcount. We rotate roughly ten to twenty through in an hour.

Closest-to-the-pin and long drive move much faster than full rounds, so if you have a big crowd and a short window, we will steer you toward a contest.

Do you provide clubs?

We provide Top Flite right-handed clubs as standard. Left-handed sets and junior sets are available on request, so tell us in the quote form and we will bring them. Guests are welcome to bring their own if they would rather use what they know.

Can lefties play?

Yes. The launch monitor is wireless, so we just move it to the other side of the mat. It takes a few seconds and there is no charge for it.

Left-handed club sets are available on request, so tell us in the quote form and we will bring them.

Can beginners play?

They are usually the ones who stay longest. The screen gives instant feedback on every shot, and we can run a format where nobody needs to know the rules. We are happy to share a few tips along the way, and nobody is going to be judged on their swing.

Can kids play?

Yes, and they do at most of our events. Kids need adult supervision at the bay. A swinging club and a queue of people need someone watching. We keep the software on something forgiving, and for younger kids we usually suggest a contest rather than a round.

What courses can we play?

GSPro comes with a large library of real courses, plus a driving range. You can request specific courses ahead of the event and we will load them.

There is more than golf on there too: beer pong, darts, island challenge, and others. These land better than a full round at a party, especially with a crowd that has never played.

Booking and logistics

What does it cost?

It depends on how long you need us, where you are, and how hard the setup is, so there is no fixed price list. Send the date and the venue through the quote form and we will send a quote back. It includes delivery, setup, and teardown.

How far do you travel?

We are based in Miami, FL. Miami-Dade is our home turf and there is no travel charge inside it. We go to Broward, Palm Beach, and the Keys regularly; those are quoted per trip based on distance and the load-in. Ask about anywhere else and we will tell you straight whether it is worth it.

How far in advance should we book?

The more notice the better, especially for weekends in season. We have turned events around in a few days when we had the gear free, so it is always worth asking even if your date is close.

What happens if it rains?

We make the call together on the morning of the event. If we cannot set up or run safely, you are not charged, and your deposit is refunded or moved to a new date.

Storm cells pass. If we shelter and resume, that is a pause rather than a cancellation, and we will extend the end time where we can. If an event genuinely cannot continue after we have set up, you are charged for the time delivered plus a minimum covering delivery and setup.

Do you take a deposit?

$250 secures your date, or $250 per day for multi-day bookings, and it goes toward your total. We keep a card on file and charge it 7 days before your event.

Cancel before then and nothing is charged. Inside 7 days the deposit is non-refundable, though it still moves with you if you reschedule. The balance is due before we set up. Full terms are on the booking page.

Can you brand it for our company?

We do not offer custom branding on the simulator or the bay.

Can we add time on the day?

Usually, yes. If the event is going well and you want us to stay longer, we can add hourly on the spot as long as it does not run into another booking. Ask the team member running it and they will tell you straight away.

Are you insured?

Yes. We carry one million dollars per occurrence and two million aggregate in liability insurance. We can provide a certificate of insurance on request.

Do you need anything from us on the day?

Somewhere to park close to the setup spot, access to power, and a contact who can let us in. That is genuinely it.
